Lakeshore Friends—

This Sunday, we’re back together again and I can’t wait to see you.  If absence does make the heart grow fonder (and I think it does), then I really look forward to seeing you on Sunday.  Just like we miss seeing our family when we go away on a trip, the same is true for our spiritual family, the church.

Also, if you want to start really living you’ll learn more on how to do that in your life for the upcoming new year.

Thanks for making this past year one of the best ever for all of us.  Despite the challenges of life because of “that which shall not be named,” the unity, love, care, and focus on discovering and developing a growing relationship with Jesus that you have modeled in 2021 has been impressive and so encouraging.  God is at work at Lakeshore because He is at work in you.

Happy New Year!  Don’t drink too much eggnog!  I look forward to seeing you on Sunday as we kick off 2022 together.

Warmly,

Vince

Lakeshore Friends—

We’re having a birthday party on Friday and you’re invited!  In fact, to make it as easy as possible, we have two party times to choose from: 3pm or 6pm.  We’ll be celebrating Jesus’ birthday and I know He’d love to see you here for it.

And He asked me to pass on to you that He wants you to invite everyone you know to attend.  He would really like that.  And He asked that the only gift you bring is an open heart.

So on His behalf, please be here and invite anyone else you know to join you.  This will be one party that you’ll never forget.

Warmly,

Vince

Lakeshore Friends—

With this week came a new mandate from our Governor on the wearing of masks (FYI, we sent out an email on Monday to those of you on this list but now we are exploring whether this mask mandate is in fact legally binding for us or if we can maintain our much preferred position of optional mask wearing).  This matter has caused me to reflect on the laws and heritage of our nation and the amazing rights and freedoms we have here in the United States.  No nation is as free and helpful to its citizenry as ours, and it’s greater than any other in the world.  Afterall, people are not leaving our country, they are trying to come here in droves.

What role did the birth of Jesus Christ play in this?  A lot more than you know.  I’ll talk about how on Sunday.

Christmas is just over a week away and we want to be used by God to help you relish in the beauty of Jesus Christ’s birth.  We will do our best to do that this Sunday and again on Christmas Eve at 3pm and 6pm to help you (and that will close out our in-person services for 2021 as the Sunday, December 26 service will be online only, kicking off the new series, “The Life You Really Want”).

Thanks, and I hope to see all of you personally on Sunday and next Friday for the “always electric” Christmas Eve services.

Warmly,

Vince
