A NOTE FROM PASTOR VINCE: DECEMBER 9, 2021
Lakeshore Friends—
As we fast approach Christmas, our thoughts go to the birth of Jesus (or at least they should considering it’s His birthday). He came to us in the most inconspicuous manner imaginable: quietly, humbly, and in a manger— an animal feeding trough where horses or cattle ate from. As he grew, He made a great impact on the world and turned it upside down!
What would life be like if Jesus was never born? Think about that one for a long time and I bet you would still be surprised by how much less we would have that we enjoy today. And not just no churches, no Christians, and no crosses... it would mean “no” to a lot, lot more.
On Sunday, we will begin a new series called, “What If Jesus Had Never Been Born?” This will be a series that will both surprise and even shock you, but also help you have a deeper appreciation for the One born on Christmas.
I encourage you to be here for this short series starting this Sunday, continuing next Sunday, and then concluding on Christmas eve (3pm or 6pm identical services). I think your Christmas will take on an even more special significance if you do attend.
And definitely invite your family and friends. I promise you that this is a “can’t miss” series. Use the invite cards at church, point people to the website (LakeshoreChurch.org/Christmas), use the Lakeshore App, or just point people to 3651 Latta Road.
Warmly,
Vince
P.S. Are you asking God to guide you in His will for your part in Making Waves 2022? You can impact starving children, poor families, and lost souls with the love of Jesus if you do. Find out more here: www.makingwaves.info. Please turn in your Commitment Card by the end of the year if at all possible.

Lakeshore Friends—
I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving! I had a great thanksgiving, except for about two and a half hours on Thursday from like 8:20 – 11:20pm when I witnessed the Bills whoop the Saints in New Orleans! Why did I say that only two and a half hours of a three-hour game were not great? Because at least at halftime we honored and thanked Drew Brees for his career as a Saint Quarterback… for about half an hour!
And in my pre-recorded message last Sunday (I was at church physically, we just pre-recorded the message the Monday before for in case my flight home was delayed), I said that I was sure the Saints would beat the Bills.
Yeah, I was wrong!
But one thing I am not wrong about is how great you are! God has blessed us with an awesome church! I love being with you each Sunday and growing together each week. Your desire to grow spiritually, serve personally, and give generously inspire me and cause me to thank God often for you all.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday! Feel free to come at me with your Buffalo Bills smack!
Warmly,
Vince

Lakeshore Friends—
As we approach Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for, don’t we?
- Faith in a great God
- Family that we love and that love us (even if that’s not necessarily everyone in your family)
- Friends who stick by us through thick and thin
- Finances that allow us to be richer than most people in the world, and
- Freedom to live in a great country
We are blessed beyond all measure!
I hope that as we celebrate Thanksgiving this Thursday that we will in fact give thanks. Being thankful is okay, but giving thanks is the ultimate goal. I hope that will include some time to say thank you to God for everything we have, and everything He is!
I thank God for all of you! Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Warmly,
Vince
