A NOTE FROM PASTOR VINCE: DECEMBER 2, 2021
Lakeshore Friends—
I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving! I had a great thanksgiving, except for about two and a half hours on Thursday from like 8:20 – 11:20pm when I witnessed the Bills whoop the Saints in New Orleans! Why did I say that only two and a half hours of a three-hour game were not great? Because at least at halftime we honored and thanked Drew Brees for his career as a Saint Quarterback… for about half an hour!
And in my pre-recorded message last Sunday (I was at church physically, we just pre-recorded the message the Monday before for in case my flight home was delayed), I said that I was sure the Saints would beat the Bills.
Yeah, I was wrong!
But one thing I am not wrong about is how great you are! God has blessed us with an awesome church! I love being with you each Sunday and growing together each week. Your desire to grow spiritually, serve personally, and give generously inspire me and cause me to thank God often for you all.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday! Feel free to come at me with your Buffalo Bills smack!
Warmly,
Vince

Lakeshore Friends—
As we approach Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for, don’t we?
- Faith in a great God
- Family that we love and that love us (even if that’s not necessarily everyone in your family)
- Friends who stick by us through thick and thin
- Finances that allow us to be richer than most people in the world, and
- Freedom to live in a great country
We are blessed beyond all measure!
I hope that as we celebrate Thanksgiving this Thursday that we will in fact give thanks. Being thankful is okay, but giving thanks is the ultimate goal. I hope that will include some time to say thank you to God for everything we have, and everything He is!
I thank God for all of you! Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Warmly,
Vince

Lakeshore Friends—
This week is a busy week at Lakeshore and I hope you all will be a part of as much of it as you can.
On Thursday, we will be welcoming guests and setting up for the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) food packing weekend. We will also continue in our series, “Romans: Just By Faith” at Midweek Bible Study from 7 – 8 pm in the Auditorium.
On Friday, we will have multiple FMSC food packing sessions. There is still room in the earlier sessions on Friday. To find out more, check out lakeshorechurch.org/FMSC.
On Saturday, we will have more FMSC food packing sessions. The post-event tear down from 2-4pm also still has room if you can help. The day begins with Synergy Prayer in room 110 from 9:30 – 10:30 am.
On Sunday, we will continue collecting our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Collections started earlier this week—click here for a full drop-off schedule.
We'll also kick off a new series, “So What Am I Supposed To Do?” and have some special recognitions during the services.
Our kids and their parents can participate in a special project for the ministry, Streets for Christ, on Sunday. See the KIDS section in the weekly email for more info.
We have a chance to make a lot of impact on a lot of lives this week… including our own!
I hope to see you here, maybe more than once, and look forward to seeing you as we celebrate on Sunday!
Warmly,
Vince
