Lakeshore Members—

We’re less than four weeks away from our shift to three services.  We’re “Making Room” for more people so that we can continue growing and helping more people “discover and develop a growing relationship with Jesus Christ”, and we need to make room!  Since the start of 2025, we have grown by almost 250 people in Sunday attendance.

Because of this, we’ve been working hard since the beginning of this year to both lead our church for growth and lead our church through growth.  To that end, our outreach plans this fall are the most aggressive that we have undertaken since we moved into this facility in 2004.

On top of all that, we’ll be kicking off the most important teaching series at Midweek Bible Study that we have ever taught, “Life Foundations”, as we move our study from Thursday evenings to Wednesday evenings.  For twenty-one Wednesday nights, we’ll teach through all the important doctrines and beliefs of our Christian faith.  We’re producing and printing a 100+ page workbook for those who attend Midweek Bible Study starting on Wednesday, September 16 from 7-8pm.  And with Lakeshore Students from 6^th – 12^thgrade meeting every Wednesday from 6:30- 8:30pm and classes for your kids (Infants through 5^th grade) from 7-8pm, we’re making it a great night for the entire family!

Hopefully, this is all news you have known about for months now.

I am writing this just to say thank you for your support and to say something that is so important: we need every single one of you!

• We need your in-person attendance every week you’re able to attend. 
• We need as many as possible to get involved in a ministry because virtually every single ministry needs more help so we don’t burnout people who are already serving. 
• We need your prayers.  Only God can grow a church (1 Corinthians 3:6) and as Psalm 127:1a says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”

To that end, we want to ask every member to commit one day between now and the end of September to fast and pray for God to be honored and our church to be prepared for what He has in store for Lakeshore this fall! While it would be great if you could fast for an entire day, I realize not everyone can do that.  So even fasting for part of a day for those of you in this situation is great.  Simply ask God, “Lord, please show all of us what You want us to do this fall at Lakeshore?”

At this year’s Membership Meeting, we cast a vision for More People In Heaven.  God wants to use all of us to do just that.  And if He is pleased with us, we may even reach 1,000 people each week by the end of the year.  Grover Cleveland, here we come! (yeah, he’s on the $1,000 bill, remember?).
