God knows everything. We call this trait, His omniscience. God is present everywhere and this is known has His omnipresence. Because God knows everything, He knows everything about you. He knows more about you than you even know about yourself; your traits, personalities, thoughts, intentions, and because He is ever present, he also sees and witnesses how those things impact how you live. We will learn how Gods omniscience and omnipresence impact your life. Because He knows us so well and because He is everywhere we are, we can have confidence that when we let Him search us, and know us, that He will guide us in the perfect places and decisions we need to make and through it all, you will know that God is always near when we need Him.

“O LORD, You have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways.” (Psalm 139:1-3, NIV)

I) GOD IS OMNIPRESENT (all-present)

a) God Is Present At Every POINT OF SPACE .

“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.” (Psalm 139:7-10, NIV)

“Am I only a God nearby… and not a God far away? Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?… Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 23:23-24, NIV)

b) God Is Not Limited By SPATIAL DIMENSIONS .

“But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain You. How much less this temple I have built!” (1 Kings 8:27, NIV)

“However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. As the prophet says:” ‘Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. What kind of house will you build for Me?’ says the Lord. ‘Or where will My resting place be? Has not My hand made all these things?’” (Acts 7: 48-49, NIV)

c) God Is Present In Different WAYS , In Different PLACES .

“You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.” (Psalm 16:11, NIV)

“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:17, NIV)

Since there is no place we can escape from God’s presence, let us RUN TO HIM , not RUN FROM HIM.

II) GOD IS OMNISCIENT (all-knowing)

a) God is Perfect IN KNOWLEDGE .

“Do you know… those wonders of Him who is perfect in knowledge?” (Job 37:16, NIV)

_”For God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything.” _ (1 John 3:20b, NIV)

b) God Is Always FULLY AWARE Of Everything.

“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13, NIV)

“And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” (Mathew 10:30, NIV)

c) God Is Knowledgeable Of All That CAN AND WILL HAPPEN .

“And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths. If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.” (Mathew 11:23, NIV)

“All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.” (Psalm 139:16b, NIV)

Since God knows everything perfectly, He knows how much we need HIM IN OUR LIVES .

“… for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” (Mathew 6:8, NIV)

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24, NIV)
