Isn’t God good, part 3 of 3

I. God: our immeasurable provider

“ Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21, NIV)

“God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.” (1 Timothy 6:17b, NIV)

God’s “omnipotence”:

There is nothing that God cannot do or provide

II. All that God can easily provide

1. He provides for all of our physical needs

“And my God, with all his abundant wealth in Christ Jesus, will supply all your needs .” (Philippians 4:19, TEV)

2. He provides for all of our relational needs

“God has said, ‘*Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you*.’ So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?’” (Hebrews 13:5b-6, NIV)

3. He provides for all of our spiritual needs

“And I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns.” (Philippians 1:6, LB)

III. God provides for people who…

1. God provides the spectacular for faith-filled people

“ According to your faith will it be done to you…” (Matthew 9:29b, NIV)

“Jesus did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith .” (Matt.13:58, NIV)

2. God provides strength for faithfully true people

“The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him .” (2 Chronicles 16:9a, NLT)

3. God provides support for frail and faulty people

“God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it .”(1Corinthians 10:13b, NIV)

4. God provides salvation for failure-admitting people

“ [God] has provided redemption for His people… holy and awesome is His name.” (Psalm 111:9, NIV)

“Now glory be to God who by His mighty power at work within us is able to do farmore than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of*— *infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires thoughts and hopes. May He be given glory forever and ever…” (Ephesians 3:20-21a, LB)
