Connect with a small group

Ever wish you could ask a question right in the middle of Pastor Vince’s Sunday message? Do you sometimes feel like you don’t know anyone? Then you need to get plugged into a Community Group. Community Groups are Lakeshore’s home-based small group bible-studies.

Each group consists of 5 to 15 people that get together twice a month to build friendships, study the Bible and learn to care for each other. We have groups that use topical studies and groups that delve deep into a single book of the Bible. We have groups for everyone, groups for men or women, and groups for kids. Take a look at our current list of available groups and we’re sure you’ll find a group that is perfect for you.

What happens at a Community Group?

Each Community Group spends the first few minutes getting acquainted with
each other, usually by discussing an “ice breaker” question. Then,
there’s time to interactively study, discuss, and apply the topic of
discussion. Groups will close by spending a few minutes in prayer together, and then have refreshments afterwards (sometimes before and during, too!).

What about childcare?

Arrangements for childcare varies by Community Group. Refer to the Community Group schedule for the specifics for each group. Even if childcare is not officially offered at a particular group, the group may be able to work something out or provide other assistance. If you are interested in attending a group but childcare is an issue, please contact either the group leader or the church office.
