Hi, I’m Vince DiPaola, pastor of Lakeshore Community Church. Thanks for visiting our site. I’d like to give you a feel of what our church community is all about. And I hope you’ll discover that we’re in touch with the realities and needs of your life.
Lakeshore is a place where everyone, regardless of their background, is accepted just as they are: single, married, divorced, young, old, anti-religious, unconvinced, whatever. We’re not about religion, we’re about relationships. And we’re building a transparent, authentic, 24/7 community of people who strive to walk in the ways of Jesus.
At Lakeshore it’s okay if you have doubts about God. And it’s okay to ask tough questions about God, and about us. We don’t have it all figured out, and we don’t have all the answers. But we know who does, so we journey together, searching God’s Word for guidance in our daily lives.
We think you’ll find our Sunday service to be an interesting experience. We mix music, video, drama and other art forms to stimulate thought, and focus on the main point of the day’s message, a message that relates to your life and the world we live in.
If you have kids, they’re in for a treat. Our kid’s classes are creative and fun. They help your child learn about God’s love for them, as they build a spiritual foundation that will serve them well, all of their lives.
Most important, life at Lakeshore doesn’t stop inside the walls of our building. Whenever you’re ready, you can connect with a small group of people just like you. They focus on building healthy relationships, sharing their lives, and caring for each other.
We’re also involved in serving our surrounding community. We work closely with a variety of organizations and shelters that focus on meeting the needs of the less fortunate people in our area.
So this is Lakeshore. We’re a great place to start, or to continue you’re spiritual journey, a place where you can develop life-changing relationships — with people you can trust.
Lakeshore history
To fully appreciate Lakeshore’s origins, you would have to take a look inside the mind and thoughts of a young graduate school student who was studying for ministry and striving to understand two questions that perpetually caused him to search for answers. Those questions were: “How does the church reach people who may be interested in God but not necessarily in church?” and “How does God’s truth change peoples lives?” It was these two questions (both raised by the command of the “Great Commission”) that fueled the passion for what Lakeshore Community Church is all about… even today.
