Perhaps no verse in the bible has been more questioned, scrutinized or ridiculed than the very first verse, Gen. 1:1. In this verse the bible says that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Some people believe that this in an out and out lie because we came here through evolution. Others believe it is the absolute truth because God said it is. Still others try to combine the idea of evolution and creation to form a view of theistic evolution. In this message we will explain the theory of evolution and why it is continuing to lose ground in the scientific community (unbenounced to many in our country) and why the most logical conclusion is to believe that an intelligent designer created our world and that the intelligent designer is God.
