“They all ate and were satisfied. “ (Mark 6:42, NIV)
“The people… celebrated the dedication of the house of God with joy” (Ezra 6:16, NIV)
“At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem…[We will] celebrate joyfully “. (Nehemiah 12:27, NIV)
“… The glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.” (Exodus 40:34, NIV)
“So Solomon observed the festival. And all Israel with him…On the eighth day they… celebrated the dedication of the altar for seven days and the festival for seven days more. On the twenty third day… he sent the people to their homes, joyful and glad in heart for the good things the Lord had done for David and Solomon and for his people Israel.” (2 Chronicles 7:8–10, NIV)
“Home Improvements”: Cause for celebration!
1.We celebrate the people who see the “Hi” vision!
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18a, KJV)
“And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on My behalf is welcoming Me.” (Matthew 18:5, NLT)
” Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her… for we are members of one body.” (Ephesians 5:25b,30, NIV)
“Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone so that I might bring them to Christ…” (1 Corinthians 9:22b, NLT)
2. We celebrate the power of pulling together!
” Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work. If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up…Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12, NIV)
3. We celebrate the privilege of giving to God!
“What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.” (Philippians 3:8, NIV)
4. We celebrate the practical commitment of LCCers!
“Thank my God every time I remember you, “ (Philippians 1:3, NIV)
“Having started the ball rolling so enthusiastically, you should carry this project through to completion just as gladly, giving whatever you can out of whatever you have. Let your enthusiastic idea at the start be equaled by your realistic action now. “ (2 Corinthians 8:11, LB)
