What is an Elder?
The Elders exist to provide spiritual oversight to the church by ensuring that it faithfully operates with biblical and missional integrity. They also oversee the official members of the church and select ministries on the LEAD team.
Bob Brinthaupt
After coming to Lakeshore in March of 1998 with his wife Diane and committing his life to Jesus Christ in April of 1998, Bob began the journey of growing in his newfound faith. He got involved in LCC ministry in April of 1999 and became a member of the Music Team where he continues to serve today. After experiencing a host of other ministries over the years, Bob became entrusted as a member of the LCC Elder Team in February 2003. Bob has taught community groups for over six years and is currently one of the New Horizons 301 instructors. He is the Elder overseer of the LCC Men’s and Women’s ministries along with a few others. Bob is also passionate about engaging people through his gifts and ministries. Bob continues to grow in his faith through the challenges of ministry and life and is exciteda bout what God has planned for him.
Vince DiPaola
As the founding and Senior Pastor of Lakeshore in 1995 (along with his wife Sue, son David and daughter Alisha), Vince is ultimately responsible for “feeding and leading” the church. Vince “feeds” the church by being the primary teacher for Sunday and Common Ground midweek services, New Horizons 101: Discovering Lakeshore Church (an introductory class for those who want to find out more about the church), and developing new curriculum for Community Groups and various other courses. In his role as “leader” of the church, Vince casts the overall vision of the church, leads new strategic initiatives into action, oversees the church staff, and is the leader of the Elder team which is responsible for overseeing the church.
Turan Erdogan
Turan and his wife Mary have been at Lakeshore since the second Sunday service in April 1995. Shortly thereafter they found themselves part of the original Launch Advisory Team - those were the days! Turan and Mary have four wonderful children (Michal Ann, Malcolm, Remziye, and Samuel) and love being part of the Lakeshore family. Turan is an Elder; enjoys being a part of SpotLight (Lakeshore’s drama team) through writing, directing, and acting; and loves teeaching. In addition to teaching New Horizons 201 (Discovering Spiritual Maturity) and leading community groups, Turan delights in occasional opportunities to give messages on Sunday mornings and at Common Ground, Lakeshore’s midweek service.
