We’re about making it real!
At Lakeshore Community Church we provide real encouragement for real everyday living. What does that mean? It means that you can come to our Sunday service and experience upbeat contemporary music and drama and a message that will be relevant to your life today, right where you are.
Lakeshore’s mission is to reach people who are indifferent towards Christianity and turn them into difference makers who are fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ in our church; Turning the indifferent into difference makers for Christ.
We dream of making an impact in the Greece and Greater Rochester area, by helping many discover the promise of God’s love and hope for their life in Jesus Christ through our church, and by attracting them to develop into dedicated disciples who serve Him through our church. Lakeshore will always focus on making a great commitment to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20) and the Great Commandments (Matthew 22:36–40) so that we can build a great church and great Christians.
The purpose statement of our church is summarized in this single sentence based on two key scriptures:
- The Great Commandment: “Jesus said ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart… soul… and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” (Matthew 22:36–40)
- The Great Commission: “Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’” (Matthew 28:19–20)
Our purpose is embodied in something we like to call the 5 G’s:
- Grace
- Growth
- Groups
- Gifts
- Giving to God
